The Khapela and Khubone connection For those like Robin who are not sure on the Khubone and Khapela connection well here goes, Khapela and his brothers used to make and sell illegal guns back in the 90s. Khubone was recruited and used to sell these and somewhere along the line he was caught and he tried to run away, there was a fight which probably turned...

The Haunting of the Khapela Well it seems as though whatever it is that Khapela did to that little girl’s family in the past is coming to haunt him now and he seems to be seeing visions during the day. I am not sure how meeting with the little girl (who is now a woman) will help him but well it seems that it will happen as Akhona has managed to...

Khetiwe’s mop and Dineo’s Toupee Hey guys I must say I have always regarded the women in Generations very highly because they always seem to be well put together from head to toe. Last night Eish after seeing Khetiwe my jaw dropped because she looks like someone who got a mop and stuck it on her head. Maybe it’s just worsened by the fact that she is...

Akhona vs. Noluntu, Dineo vs. Noluntu Noluntu must really hate Akhona’s guts because she seems to be using whatever little ammunition she has left to make Akhona’s life a living hell. I totally get Nicholas’ reaction because it now seems as though she was testing him and did not think they were serious but it was fuelled by the fact that Noluntu deliberately...

Truth sets you free It was nice to see Khetiwe standing up for Khapela for a change I mean the hostility is absolutely unnecessary considering Khetiwe was given the choice to walk away and she didn’t, come night time she expected Khapela to just look at her? I think not, he really huffed and puffed that night and she conceived yho Khapela...

Karabo has issues if you ask me! Why is she trying so hard to get Paul a job behind his back? Talk about knocking a guys ego! First it was Karabo going to Ntombi and asking her to give Paul his job back. Thankfully Ntombi told Paul the truth that Karabo was behind this whole idea of Paul getting his job back at Mashaba Media. Now Karabo decided to hook Paul up with a job at New World. I had hoped that when Paul asked Karabo if she had anything to do with the New World job, Karabo would have just admitted and said, “Yes it was me!” We all know how this plays out, Paul is going to work at New World and sooner or later he is going to find out that he got the job because of Karabo. I do not see this relationship between Paul and Karabo lasting much longer.

I think todays sopies are more focused on western ideas. I feel that Generations is not real enough for the people that are actually watching. Those short stories being aired on SABC 1 are realistic than it. It needs a gangster from the Ghetto and women that sells her body as means of survival, this will make it educational like not letting being poor hold you down from succeeding in life. We know that it is a set, but can’t you shoot outside scenes and pause on all these inside scenes.

another thing is this there are so many beautiful ladies, but somehow Karabo gets all the new guys entering the scene. We know that she supposedly beautiful, but i know of individuals that are really beautiful on the show.

Mzanzi – don’t you have any input on these shows. Instruct them to do something about Mzanzi people and not the successful people oversea, most of their fans are from the poor communities, but the show does not represent them. you can watch the show on Monday and again on Monday, you’d still know what happened.

uplift your act.

I disagree… we have so much gangsters and prostitutes… and violence… and ekhasi… I think Generations is great the way it is… After all it is a soapie! A SOAPIE! Not a drama. Go and look up the meaning of what a soapie is, Shalaza. Do poor people want to watch poor people? No.

Branda!!I think that u are a very bright woman(thats if u r a woman)!!In all honesty now,we see and go thru these things in real life everyday. We dont wanna go home and whilst watching T.V also be reminded ov em.We might as well just watch the news ke mos!!So Shalaza,I also very much disagree with u mate.Generations is lovely the way it is!Just let it be.If it aint ur cup ov tea then I’d suggest u go watch ‘A place called home’.Now that has enuf gangsters and prostitutes to last u a life time! And bwt Karabo being ‘supposedly’ beautiful…remove the supposedly because she is beautiful!!Generations uyaRocka maan!

@Shalaza……Gen is based on rich tycoons not people from ekasi, they tried adding the kasi flavour with Sindi´s story but they ended back in the surbubs. And again l think Gen is okay the way it is, its different from all these other soapies.
@branda…..thank you, l was looking for that answer all along.
