Good morning Bloggers, Happy Friday. I unfortunately missed last nights episode of Generations but that does not mean we can stop blogging. So I kindly ask if anyone watched last nights episode and they can give us a brief rundown of what happened last night. We would really appreciate that.

Poor Khaphela and Sarah! Everyone is putting pressure on them to sleep with each other! Last night I had a good laugh when Khethiwe was talking to Sarah and Khethiwe was telling her that sex is like riding a bicycle: Once you have done it the first time, it is easy from there on out. Sarah is very reluctant to sleep with Khaphela as she says she has only ever slpet with her late husband and that was 15 years ago. Khethiwe was shocked when she heard that Sarah last had sex 15 years ago. Well you not doing much better Khethi… you are like in your mid 30′s and you only lost your virginity a year or two ago with Dumisani and he is the only one you have ever slept with!
Then Khaphela bumps into Sarah’s best friend and she starts telling him that he must be patient with Sarah when it comes to having sex and that Sarah is a very shy person.
Now it is just a matter of waiting for Queen to jump onto the band wagon! When she hears that Khaphela and Sarah are contemplating have sex, watch her go out and buy some sexy lingerie for Sarah!!

Category : The Show
Not a whole lot happened in last nights show so I have decided to just have a look at the relationships on Our Soapie now as they seem to be what is dominating the show.
I just have to start with the relationship between Khethiwe and Dumisani. We all know it is a very abusive relationship as we discussed yesterday and we all wondering why Khethiwe is staying with Dumisani. Last night added a new dimension to the relationship when Khethiwe decided to surprise Dumisani with a dinner but Dumisani just never pitched up. Khethi went through all the effort to try please her man but it did not help.
Then we have Sarah and Khaphela. This relationship is coming along well but I think there only problem here could be the sex life these two would have. I believe they can still sleep with each other but I am not too sure about them having children which is what I see Khaphela wanting.
We have not heard much lately between Paul and Karabo. I think it is high time that Karabo comes back. She has been gone for way too long and I feel we are loosing the storyline here as it heated up a bit when Paul and Dineo were ‘together’. I would love to see a story where Paul and Dineo actually ‘get it on’ and then Karabo comes back into the picture.
And how about finding a woman for Zamani???? We had him with Jacky in the past but that was just for a short time. Please please please give Zamani a woman instead of him just focusing his life on Ajax. And maybe Ajax should also have a woman then he can get some focus on his life again instead of always crying like a baby!!

The fourth annual South African Film and Television Academy (SAFTA) Awards took place on Saturday, 20 February 2010 at the State Theatre in Pretoria. Generations managed to walk away with two awards in the Soapie category. Our Soapie won The Best Actor and Best Actress awards as they went to Seputla Sebogodi (Kenneth Mashaba) and Katlego Danke (Dineo Mashaba) respectively. This was a great achievement for Our Soapie.
We did however miss out on the big one, the Best Soapie award which went to 7de Laan. That result came as a surprise to me as I really thought Generations would winner especially since the winner of the Best Soapie is decided by us the fans as we have to cast votes. Clearly we did not all vote for Our Soapie or else we would have won.
Another surprise for me was that Lulu Nxozi who played the role of Belinda on Generations was one of the nominations for the Best Supporting Actress in a Soapie. Personally, I do not think she was that great an actress on Generations. Ma Ruby came onto the show far too late to be nominated for these awards but even with her short stint on Generations, I feel she should have been nominated ahead of Belinda. But I am sure Ma Ruby is going to pick up a lot of awards if she stays on Generations.
The results of the 2010 SAFTA’s in full for the Soapie category were:
Best Soapie
7de Laan
Determined by public vote
Best Actor
Pierre van Pletzen (Oubaas van Zyl in 7de Laan)

Category : Ace, Dumisani, Khetiwe
It is funny how Dumisani has the nerve to give the interns an assignment on child abuse when he is the biggest women abuser out there. You could clearly see that Khethowe is not happy with this assignment as she knows she is being abused by Dumisani but she is doing nothing about. But I guess this is the scenario faced by a lot of women today. They are abused day in and day out in their homes by the partners but they keep quiet. Why do they do this? Is it because they are scared to come out and say anything due to the fear they have of their partner? I think this is the reason as I honestly can not think of anyone who enjoys being abused.
What baffles me even more about Khethiwe is that she now wants to take Dumisani to her home so she can meet her gogo and the rest of the family and let them know that she is now staying with Dumisani. Dumisani is not keen about this idea at all as he says ‘family complicates everything’. I think the reason that Dumisani does not want Khethiwe’s family to know that they are staying together is that Khethiwe can then turn to her family at any time and tell them that Dumisani is abusing her.
Now on the other hand, Khethiwe has someone like Ace who is deeply in love with her but she is rather opting to be stuck in an abusive relationship. Ace is not Mr. Perfect but you can see he loves Khethiwe. Who would ever have thought that Ace of all people would write a love letter? Well he did write one for Khethiwe and Khethiwe just through it away.
At times we fall in love with the wrong person and I think that is exactly what has happened to Khethiwe.

Category : Ntombi, Senzo, Sibusiso
The plot thickens! I honestly did not expect Senzo to say what he did last night when he told his dad that he is joking that he is gay! A lot of us yesterday thought that Sibusiso was going to explode and go back to drinking after hearing that his son is gay.
But Senzo saw the look in his dads face when he told him he was gay and I guess he decided that its best not to rock the boat and rather tell his dad that he is not gay. Then to add onto that, Sibusiso was a relieved man to hear that his son ‘is not gay’ and decided that it is time for Senzo to officially become a Dlomo. Now when this ceremony happens, and Senzo is now a Dlomo, and with all the so called Dlomo pride, there is no way I can ever see Senzo telling his dad that he is gay.
Speaking of the ceremony, I did not particularly like the way Sibusiso treated Ntombi when he told her that she must changes the invites for Busi’s unveiling so that they include Senzo’s ceremony. What is it with the men on Our Soapie these days and not being able to treat their women? We have Dumisani on the one hand continually abusing Khethiwe and now Sibusiso bullying Ntombi.
