Truth sets you free It was nice to see Khetiwe standing up for Khapela for a change I mean the hostility is absolutely unnecessary considering Khetiwe was given the choice to walk away and she didn’t, come night time she expected Khapela to just look at her? I think not, he really huffed and puffed that night and she conceived yho Khapela...

Horny Akhona and Khapela the Muti man Eish I do not know what it is about the violent stories that are making Akhona so horny the past couple of days. Nicholas is starting to complain a bit and it’s just making me wonder whether violence can trigger one’s hormones to that extent. Is it true that women like rough type guys as compared to the gentle ones?...

Mawande breaks down Mawande decided to go see Akhona’s mother and find out what went on back then and why she did not tell anyone about the fact that she had a child by Mzwanele. It was pretty touching how she broke down and told Noluntu about how they had waited and hoped he would return until they got to a point where they stopped talking...

Dineo is playing with fire Is Dineo for real? Who is more evil Noluntu or Khetiwe? Well well well yesterday I was really shocked as to the extent of Noluntu’s hate for Akhona. She was prepared for her mother to lose a potential million dollar deal just to prove a stupid that Akhona is a con artist. If we really think about it she is just as evil and conniving as Khetiwe and I would like to hear from...

Karabo to star in a movie called Man to Man

I was reading the Sunday World yesterday and there was an article titled “Connie hits the big screen”. Many of us have been wondering what Karabo (Connie Ferguson) will be doing now that she has left Generations. Well according to this article, Connie will working on a movie called Man to Man with her husband Shona Ferguson. I was not aware that Shona is leaving his role is Scandal but this article confirms that.

Personally, I am looking forward to seeing this movie. It will be interesting to see Shona and Connie on screen together acting. I am not a big fan of Scandal but I watch it from time to time when I have nothing else to watch and I have come across scenes of Shona and he does not seem like a bad actor at all.

I am also interested in seeing Connie play another role which is not Karabo. We had gotten so used to seeing her as Karabo that seeing her as any other character is going to be different.

Karabo mourns Siyabonga

As we continue to pay tribute to Karabo on Gens Blog, we look back at one of the most trying times as Karabo where she acted brilliantly and I think this is some of the best acting that Karabo ever did on Generations.

It was during the time she fell pregnant with Sibusiso’s baby and the two of them were expecting their son to be born but then there were complications and Karabo lost the baby before he was born.

Karabo went through a period of mourning where she could not just get to grips with her loss. Sibusiso trued very hard to support her through this and credit to Sibusiso for also pulling out all his acting skills during this time. The two of them really made us feel as if they had really lost a baby.

Sibusiso could not take it anymore as Karabo locked herself up in the nursery they had prepared for their son Siyabonga, and Dlomo trashed the nursery in a bid to let go of the memories of their son.

Karabo and Dineo fight

Now that Karabo has left Generations, we take a look back at some of her most memorable scenes during her 16 years on the show. Who can forget most recently her scene in the gym when she had a cat fight with Dineo? That was one of the best fight acting scenes on Generations as usually the fighting scenes are rather tame and poorly acted. But this time round, Karabo and Dineo really had a go at each other as the tensions between them simmered over Paul. Talk about fighting for a man! That must have also been one of the few times we ever saw Karabo at Smart Gym. With a body like her, you would have thought she would be in the gym more often.

What do you remember most about the cat fight and the tensions that seemed to be there between Karabo and Dineo right up until the end when they made peace with each other?

Karabo ends off with her dream wedding

It was the end of an era on Friday. The wedding we had all been look forward to all week. I must say, I expected the wedding to be a bit more glamorous than it was. But considering it was only planned at the last minute, I must commend Queen and Angela for pulling it off. Firstly, I had no idea that they were going to have it at the house, I would have thought they would have had it at some spectacular venue like ZAR in Sandton and they could have also blown a lot of money like someone we know! Okay, maybe not even ZAR but how about in the garden, it is summer in Johannesburg so why have a wedding indoors? Okay, enough of my complaining, time for the compliments, what really caught my eye was what the bridal party was wearing. The ladies look stunning in their pink dresses, and the guys were not bad at all in their white suites, except for Khaphela! Who gave him or told him that wearing a hat would work with his outfit?

Karabo looked stunning. It was very different having a bride wearing a pink dress. Signing her off from Generations wearing such a dress was truly fitting.

I got a bit worried like everyone else when Karabo took her time to come down the alter. She said she got delayed because her dress got stuck by the door knob. Can you imagine what would have happened if she got cold feet and decided not to get married and instead run off into the sunset all alone and leaving Tau standing alone?

Queen! Queen! Queen! How could you forget to get the rings? She really did spoil a perfect day by forgetting to pick up the rings but thanks to the Dlomo’s who gave them their rings to use for the ceremony.

So now we brace ourselves for a Jason and Senzo’s wedding as Jason caught the garter Tau threw. It would be interesting to see a gay wedding on Our Soapie. And Khethiwe caught the bouquet, will she be getting married to Dumisani anytime soon or will it be Khaphela (Stayed tuned for this one as I suspect Khethiwe is carrying Khaphela’s baby due to the nurses mix-up at the hospital).

All in all, it was a nice way to say good bye to Karabo on Fridday. Who knows, maybe she will be back one day. I would take a bet that she will be back…

Goodbye Karabo

This is it! Tonight will be the last time we see Karabo on Generations. 16 years on and she has decided to call it quits. Last nights episode was rather emotional. No one is hurting from Karabo’s departure more than Queen. Queen was crying again when Karabo was saying farewell to all the staff. For me the most emotional part was when Karabo was packing away her office and then walking out of Ezweni for the last time.

Queen and Karabo decided to have a girls night in in Karabo’s bedroom as they talked about the old times and how they were both wrong about each other when they first met. Queen thought Karabo was just some chick with big hair and shoulder pads and Karabo thought Queen was just a gold digger. It is funny how sometimes we are so wrong about first impressions. 16 years later and the two of them have turned out to be the best of friends. Ntombi and Angela then joined them as all four started to eat ice cream and watch DVD’s.

Whilst on the other side of town, Tau was having his bachelors party. A rather boring one if you ask me. They were just seated at Tsalanang having drinks. Jason wanted to go to a strip club and so to did Dlomo but the rest of the guys did not want to. It was funny hearing Sibusiso making gay jokes. I guess he is now getting to grips with his son being gay.

So tonight is the night… We get to see the wedding. It is going to be interesting to see how it pans out. I am sure nothing is going to go wrong and it is going to be a beautiful scene to sign off Karabo. We will meet back here on Monday to talk about the wedding. Enjoy your weekend and Goodbye Karabo.

Tau, Karabo and Angela to return to London?

Good morning bloggers,

I hope you had a great weekend and you are ready to start off a brand new week. This week will also be a brand new week on Our Soapie as I am suspecting this is the last week we will see Karabo on Generations. On Friday Tau got a job offer to work in London and he seems to have taken the job. He just needed to run the idea by Karabo and Tau thought that Karabo may not be happy about the move but she was more than happy. “Where you go, I will go” is what Karabo said to Tau. So as many of us had predicted, Karabo’s story line for leaving Generations will be that she migrates to London with Tau, which still leaves the possibility one day of Karabo and Tau returning to Generations.

The tension in the Khumalo house is still heating up between Sharon and Sam’s mother. It is going to take some time for the two of them to connect and get along with each other. I felt sorry for Sharon when Ntombi, Sibusiso, Sam and Mrs. Chief were all laughing and talking about home and Sharon felt left out as she could not relate to what they were talking about. What would be interesting is if Sharon’s mum came onto the show and we saw how she would then relate to Mrs. Chief!

And finally to wrap up todays post, Khaphela has now decided to finally let go of Khethiwe and let her live her own life and not look over her all the time. I really hope Khaphela sticks to his word this time and focuses on Sarah and lets Khethiwe be.

Tau proposes to Karabo

The moment we had all been waiting for and it finally happened last night, Tau proposed to Karabo again and she said yes! It was quite a romantic moment and now I just wish the two of them the best of luck.

I enjoyed the part when Tau met with Dumisani in the gym. Tau just has this presence and confidence about him which even Dumisani admired. Tau gave Dumisani some advice and told him that he should do everything he can to get Khethiwe back. I am sure he is going to heed his words.

And then there was Jason asking Tau to be his business partner and starting up their own agency. It would be interesting to see this new agency take shape but we know it will not happen as Tau will be leaving Generations just now! Damn! If only Tau was staying, there are a lot of story lines they could run to make Generations more interesting with him around.
