Truth sets you free It was nice to see Khetiwe standing up for Khapela for a change I mean the hostility is absolutely unnecessary considering Khetiwe was given the choice to walk away and she didn’t, come night time she expected Khapela to just look at her? I think not, he really huffed and puffed that night and she conceived yho Khapela...

Horny Akhona and Khapela the Muti man Eish I do not know what it is about the violent stories that are making Akhona so horny the past couple of days. Nicholas is starting to complain a bit and it’s just making me wonder whether violence can trigger one’s hormones to that extent. Is it true that women like rough type guys as compared to the gentle ones?...

Mawande breaks down Mawande decided to go see Akhona’s mother and find out what went on back then and why she did not tell anyone about the fact that she had a child by Mzwanele. It was pretty touching how she broke down and told Noluntu about how they had waited and hoped he would return until they got to a point where they stopped talking...

Dineo is playing with fire Is Dineo for real? Is she dumb or does she not see that Lungile is head over heels in love with her because it is so obvious and now there she is taunting the poor man with her silly games to get her mum off her back. Who is more evil Noluntu or Khetiwe? Well well well yesterday I was really shocked as to the extent of Noluntu’s hate for Akhona. She was prepared for her mother to lose a potential million dollar deal just to prove a stupid that Akhona is a con artist. If we really think about it she is just as evil and conniving as Khetiwe and I would like to hear from...

Happy New Year

Category : The Blog

Happy New Year Gens Bloggers. I hope you have all started 2011 on a good note and you ended 2010 on a high.

We hope that this year will be filled with a lot of excitement on Gens Blog and Generations. Our Soapie started to get a bit boring towards the end of last year but last week we were enthralled with lots of drama especially with Khethiwe stabbing Dumisani and the drama surrounding Jason, Senzo, Sibusiso, Kenneth and Nicholas. Hopefully 2011 continues where 2010 left off on Generations.

In 2011, Gens Blog is set to get bigger and better as we have a lot of new ideas and content that we will be putting on the blog to make it more interactive and to give you the Generations fans the ultimate online experience for Our Soapie.

We look forward to your continued support through out 2011.

New look Gens Blog

Category : The Blog

Gens Blog has a new look as of today! We have been working hard over the last couple of weeks to come up with a new look for you as I am sure you were getting tired of the same old look we have had since 2008. It is the dawn of a new era on Generations without Karabo and thus we decided to coincide the launch of our new look blog with the first day without Karabo on Generations.

We hope that you like the new look as we decided to go with a warm blue theme that is easy on the eye, a new logo which we feel is simple but yet effective and to top it off a blog which is easier to navigate around. During the next couple of days there will be new additions and features on the blog. For example you can now vote and rate each post and each cast member is going to have their own page on Gens Blog where you can comment about them.

What do you think of our new look blog?

Standard Bank Group launches a credit card for women

2

Category : The Blog

Good afternoon Gens Bloggers,

I hope I find you well. There are a lot of women here on Gens Blog so I thought I would take this opportunity to let you know about the new credit card that Standard Bank have launched that is designed for women.

Now when you hear of this for the first time, you are probably just thinking that it is just one of those many new credit cards that are released and the fact that it is for women, it will be all pink and pretty but still have the same old benefits and fees of any other credit card. But not the MyCard from Standard Bank.

Standard back looked at the MyCard from the angle that South African women make the majority of buying decisions and have better financial records than most men. MyCard has been designed and conceived especially for women, taking into account the unique financial needs of this market as well as the financial status that women currently enjoy in South African society.

Am I wrong in saying that we as women make most financial decisions in the household? Be it going to buy the groceries, purchasing a new home, new furniture or simply just deciding where we should go for the weekend. Thus now Standard Bank have taken all of this into account and come up with a credit card for us.

The MyCard has a cash back system known as MyGift. MyGift has completely reformed market standards to allow for maximum choice. While other reward schemes either limit the shops from which you get rewards or the shops in which you can spend your rewards, with the new Standard Bank MyCard you receive cash back on all your purchases as a cash payout on a gift card so you are free to spend the money however, and wherever, you like. Now that is something new!

MyCard comes with a host of benefits over and above the ability to make payments worldwide and the cash back rewards offered by other cards. Medical cover is expanded to include a disability benefit,
women specific disease cover, 20% discount on regular doctors’ visits and a 24-hour emergency advice line. Roadside assistance is also available 24 hours to assist with breakdown, flat batteries and even running out of fuel. A handyman service is available for all those small household tasks like hanging the plasma and clearing the drains.

So if you would like to find out more about MyCard simply click here and you will be taken to the Standard bank website.

Thank you for taking the time to read through this and learn more about MyCard.
