Are you passionate about South African soapies? Are you one of those that has to rush home from work in order not to miss your favourite soapie? Do you talk for hours on end with your friends about what happened on last nights soaopie? Do you want to share your thoughts about your favourite soapie with the rest of the world? This is now your opportunity!

The founders of Gens Blog have decided to expand their offering and are in the process of designing and developing blogs similar to Gens Blog for Scandal!, Rhythm City and Isidingo.

If you would like to be a blogger for any of these three new blogs then please email Ron on gen@gensblog.co.za and tell us which soapie do you watch and which one would you like to blog for. All you will simply have to do is watch you favourite soapie and submit your thoughts onto the blog to share with fellow viewers.

We have realised due to the success of Gens Blog that there is room for other blogs for the other soapies we have in South Africa. Our aim is to create communities for soapie lovers in South Africa and Africa where people can interact with one another using soapies as the common medium.

We look forward to hearing from you soon.

The fact that it’s the truth doesn’t make it any less painful for Zamani to hear. Sara dismisses Patricia’s comment about something going wrong for her.”

Good day bloggers,

I would like to apologise for the minimal activity with new posts on Gens Blog over the last couple of days. There has been a lot of activity in my day with the World Cup finally upon us and thus I am missing watching Generations due to work.

If there is anyone who would be keen to write blog posts for us during the World Cup, that would be greatly appreciated. Please email me on gen@gensblog.co.za for more information.

For today I have put up tonights Teaser.

Good morning bloggers,

Firstly, I would like to congratulate our very own writer, TBos for being the top commentator on Gens Blog in May. TBos posted over 1000 comments during the month. As I am sure TBos would agree to, he would not have been able to post all these comments with the rest of you bloggers who keep the blog ticking over every day. Mention also goes to Gugu and Eliza who came in second and third respectively. Thank you yet again bloggers.

We have also received the Teasers for June and you can view them on our Teasers page. As this is World Cup month please note that the broadcast times of Generations are going to change to 19h00 instead of 20h00 as from Thursday, 10 June.

It is a new month here on Gens Blog and we would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Claudine for being the top commentator for the month of April. This is the first time Claudine has ‘topped the charts’ and she did so by posting over 1000 comments in April. Congratulations Claudine and we look forward to another 1000 comments in May.

Congratulations are also in order for every other blogger who posted a comment on Gens Blog during April. Black Beauty came in second and our very own T Bos was third. The regular bloggers who keep Gens Blog going always chip in with their comments, namely Gugu, Dee, Siphokazi, Thulie, Mexican, Mazow and Eliza. Thank you all for keeping Gens Blog going. We look forward to another great month.

Congratulations are in order today. Firstly, a huge congratulations to Dee for being the top commentator on Gens Blog for the month of February. Dee has been ever present on Gens Blog and I would like to thank her for continually visiting our blog and adding some great commentary. There is no way Dee could have done it all by herself and I would also like to thank all the other bloggers who blog on Gens Blog. Even if you leave one comment in a month, we thank you for that comment.

For those of you who remember Thabo, it is his birthday today and we would like to wish him a happy birthday. I know he had a lot of fun on the weekend. Happy Birthday Thabo from the Gens Blog Team and all the Gens Blog Bloggers.

Thank you all for your continued support of Gens Blog.

Greetings Gens Bloggers,

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for being part of Gens Blog this year. It has been a very good ride and we hope that 2010 is going to be even bigger and better. We have managed to get through the year successfully, even with a few bumps and glitches along the way, but thankfully we are still here.

The success of Gens Blog would not be possible without all you bloggers who log in every single day. Thank you all very very much. Thanks must also go to Thabo and T-Bos for giving us our daily posts. The work they put into Gens Blog is not easy. Thanks also go out to Dee for giving us some posts during the course of the year. I know it is never fair to single out individuals as I would then have to thank every single person individually as you all play a critical part on Gens Blog.

As most of us will be finishing off work today, so too will Gens Blog be taking a break until 4 January 2010. Myself and Thabo will try pop in from time to time during the holidays to write a post or two in case there are still some bloggers here to talk to.

Thank you all again and we hope you can join us in 2010 as we are set to go bigger and better with Gens Blog.

Wishing you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from the Gens Blog team.

King regards,
Ron

Congratulations are in order for our very own chief blogger T Bos who not only gave us the posts on Gens Blog during November but he also had the most comments on Gens Blog during last month. T Bos came in with well over 2000 comments. In second place was Mexican.

Thanks also go out to all of you who commented on Gens Blog during November. Even if you only submitted one comment, it goes a long way to making Gens Blog the best blog in South Africa today. Thank you for your continued support.

We would like to congratulate Mazow for being the top commentator on Gens Blog for the month of October. Thank you very much for your comments Mazow and we hope you continue commenting on Gens Blog. We would also like to thank all of you who posted comments on Gens Blog in October. The blog continues to grow every day with more and more visitors coming to comment and some just to read all your comments. Without you all, we would not have a Gens Blog so thank you yet again.

The Gens Blog team would also like to say good bye to one of our family. Ching Chang will be leaving Gens Blog and you will not be seeing her commenting anymore. We hope she will be able to pop in once in a while and leave a comment or two for us as we had gotten to love her on Gens Blog. Thank you for all the comments and the memories Ching, and we hope to see you again soon.

It is the start of a new month which means that we now look back at the month of September on Gens Blog. We had the unfortunate ’stay away’ by some of the bloggers for a few days but I am glad that they came back to Gens Blog as life is never the same on the blog without our regular bloggers.

I would like to congratulate Maqz yet again for giving us the most comments during the month of September. Maqz cam in with well over 2500 comments. Mention also has to go to our other top commentators; Olivia, ChingChang, Dee, Mbalee and T Bos. But we at Gens Blog would like to thank every single person who leaves a comment.

I would like to send a special mention to T Bos who has been helping us out with the daily reviews on Gens Blog. Thanks a lot T Bos!

If you have any comments or suggestions for Gens Blog, please feel free to email us on gen@gensblog.co.za .

Happy blogging for October.

I am sure a lot of you know T Bos. He together with Thabo are the two main male contributors on Gens Blog. I am please to let you know that T Bos will now be taking the Teaser for the day and letting you know what he thinks is going to happen on that days episode.

The Gens Blog family just continues to grow and grow and we thank you all for your support. Please give a warm welcome to T Bos.

Good day everyone,

I am pleased to let you know that following our request yesterday of getting a new voice for Gens Blog, Dee has stepped up and volunteered to become a ‘voice’ on Gens Blog.

I am sure all the regular visitors to Gens Blog know Dee very well and it is great that she will be giving us her take on what is happening on Our Soapie just like Thabo does. This does not mean that Thabo will be leaving Gens Blog. Thabo will still be with us when he can as you have all dubbed him ‘The Boss’. I wonder new name you are all going to give to Dee now?
Thabo will still write posts when he can and he will still be the one behind the scenes making sure the technical part of the blog still runs smoothly.

Please give a warm welcome to Dee.

Thank You.
